Paradise....

PARADISE ... 2Description of Paradise in the Hadith Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhe wasallam, said, "The people of Paradise will look at the dwellers of lofty mansions (i.e. a superior place in Paradise) in the same way as one looks at a brilliant star, far away in the East or in the West of the horizon. This is because of their superiority over one another (in reward)." One of the people asked, "O Allah's Messenger, are these lofty mansions for the Prophets which no one else can reach?" The Prophet, sallallahu alayhe wasallam, replied, "No! By Allah, in whose Hands is my life, these are for men who believe in Allah and also believe in the Messenger." (Bukhari and Muslim) Abu Mousa al-Ash'ari narrated that the Prophet, sallallahu alayhe wasallam, said, "Verily, for the believers in Paradise, are tents made of a single hollow pear. The length of which would be sixty miles long from all sides, t

Al huda wa dhalal

Al-Huda Wa-Dhalal In the Arabic language ?Al-Huda? (guidance) means ?Al-Rashad? (to be rightly guided). In Shari'ah terminology, ?Al-Hidayah? is to be guided to Islam and to have Iman in it. ?Al-Dhalal? according to Shari'ah is to deviate from Islam; for instance, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ?Truly Allah does not gather my Ummah over a Dhalalah (misguidance).? Allah (swt) has made Heaven for the guided and Hell for the strayed; meaning that Allah (swt) rewards the guided and punishes the misguided. Hence, making the reward and the punishment dependent on ?Al-Huda Wa-d-Dhalal? indicates that guidance and misguidance are part of man?s actions and not from Allah (swt) ; for if they were from Allah (swt), He would not reward for the guidance and punish for the Misguidance, for this would lead to attributing injustice to Allah (swt) and Allah (swt) is far too exalted above this. Allah (swt) says: [41-46] "Nor is your Lord ever unjust to His servants." . Allah (swt)

Career by Muslim woman

It is a well known fact that a Muslim woman can have a career if she wishes as long as she does not compromise her primary duty as a mother and wife. By Dr Nazreen Nawaz The topic of what constitutes a successful woman has been a hotly debated issue over the past century. The current dominant view held in the West is that the successful woman is the one who has achieved a successful career, who is financially independent, and who owns her own house and car. Personalities such as Cherie Blair, who has apparently managed to juggle achieving a successful law career with being a mother of four and wife to the Prime Minister, are often quoted as role models. Alongside this is the belief that to be dependent upon a husband or father gives the woman an inferior status within society. There is the sentiment that a woman who is a mother or wife with no career has sold herself short in life or is even a failure. This may not be expressed openly but is evident in the manner by which many women

Nafsiya I

The Islamic Disposition The personality (shakhsiyyah) of every human being is composed of the mentality ('aqliyyah) and disposition (nafsiyyah). His physical characteristics and all other aspects have no bearing on his personality - these are only superficialities. It would be pointless for anyone to think that such aspects have any relevance or bearing upon the composition of the human personality. The mentality ('aqliyyah) is the tool used for understanding things; meaning it is the mode for passing judgement on reality according to a specific standard which man believes in and trusts. If his understanding of things in terms of passing judgement upon them is based on the 'Islamic 'Aqeedah, then he has an Islamic mentality, if not he has a mentality other than the Islamic mentality. The behavioural disposition (nafsiyyah) is the method for satisfying man's instincts and organic needs i.e. the manner in which they are satisfied according to a standard which man beli

ramadhan and manner

Hi everyone, I would like to welcome all of you to monthly talk of Sakinah Forum. Today inshaAllah we will discuss about month of ramadhan that is at the moment where we are. If some of you have Muslim neighbour or watching program on TV or read newspaper then I am sure that you heard already about holy month Ramadan. What is Ramadan means for Muslim and what is the wisdom behind it? Before hand I just wanna clarify that actually Islam has its own calendar, all in all is 12 month but with different name from general calendar, amongst those 12 months there is one called month Ramadan. Since the time of the prophet Muhammad SAW, Ramadan has been appointed as the holy month and the month of blessing. It’s consisting of 29 or 30 days. Within that month God (Allah) has ordered all Muslim to fast. Not eating/drinking/having sexual relationship since the dawn until sunset. So they need to refrain themselves from things that are normally allowed during any other months and only during Ramadan

Manner of supplication

* Supplication should start with, "In the name of Allah, Praise is to Allah, and Peace and Blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and should end with (Peace and Blessing be upon the Messenger of Allah)". * Supplication should be performed secretly and with a present (sincere) heart. Allah (SWT) said: "Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret, He likes not the aggressors". (Qur'an 7:55) * Supplicate Allah (SWT) with humility and express your need of Allah (SWT). He said: "Verily, they used to hasten on to do good deeds, and they used to call on Us with hope and fear, and used to humble themselves before us" Qur'an (21:90) * Insist to Allah (SWT) in your supplication by repeating it many times. * Invoke Allah (SWT) by His Names and Attributes. He said: "And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them" Qur'an (7:180). * Supplicate Allah (SWT) by mentioning the righteous deeds you have done. Narrated Abdul
Definition of Hadith The two main sources of Islamic Shariah (laws) are the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The definition of Sunnah is "Every saying of the prophet (pbuh), his every action and his approval or consent to the actions of his companions"; while the word Hadith refers to the recording of the Sunnah. The word Sunnah and Hadith are actually synonymous when referring to the sayings of prophet Mohammad (pbuh). Placement of the Sunnah in the Islamic Shariah' As mentioned above the Sunnah is one of the two primary sources of Shariah and hence it is obligatory to follow and without it one would be excluding most of the Islamic knowledge. The status of the Sunnah can be clarified as follows: The Sunnah explains the Qur'an "And we have also sent down unto you the reminder (Al-Qur'an)that you may explain to men what is sent down to them." (16:44) The prophet (PBUH) did explain the Qur'an in his words and actions. Hence Tafseer (interpretation of the Qur
